The Global Packaging Group is growing in the South and Central Americas Region with a new hub of excellence for pressure sensitive labels, with plans for expansion into digital printing.

Amcor has opened its European Innovation Center in Belgium. The facility will partner with brands and retailers from across the region to design packaging that delivers better results for consumers and the environment alike.

New flexible packaging plant will be the company’s first facility in the commonwealth.

The plant will produce Pure-Pak® cartons for liquid dairy, juices, plant-based products and liquid eggs.

Plant is scheduled to launch operations at the end of 2024 to bolster barrier film supply capabilities in Europe and meet rising global demand for eco-friendly packaging.

Facility showcases Henkel’s entire technology portfolio of adhesives, sealants, functional coatings and specialty materials and supports an environment for collaboration with customers from over 800 industry segments to develop innovative solutions.

Scheduled to commence operations in 2024, the 200,000-square-foot plant comes on the heels of three major acquisitions in the specialty molded fiber solutions space, and marks the company’s eighth such manufacturing facility.

Plant will produce 500 million carton packs in first year of production, with output rising to 1.2 billion sleeves in 2024. 

New greenfield site in Austin offers full-service digital and flexo label converting, with redundant capabilities of the flagship NY location. 

The investment segregates infant formula tin production, paves way for further growth with space for additional line.
